  • ½ cup Frozen peas Optional
  • Fresh cilantro For garnish optional

Equipment

  • 1 large skillet or Dutch oven – For browning the meat and cooking the rice.
  • 1 cutting board – For chopping vegetables and beef.
  • 1 sharp knife – For slicing beef and dicing vegetables.

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef cubes and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté onions, bell pepper, and garlic in the same skillet for about 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add rice, tomato paste, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the rice in oil and spices.
  4. Pour in beef broth, return the seared beef to the skillet, and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20–25 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  6. Stir in peas, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Notes
