- Slice the artisan bread into even pieces. Spread mayonnaise on the inner sides of each slice.
- Layer cheese, turkey, tomato, avocado, and lettuce on four of the slices. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top each sandwich with another slice of bread, mayo side down.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a bit of olive oil or butter.
- Toast each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Slice in half and serve warm!

Notes
You can prepare the sandwiches ahead of time and toast them right before serving. For a vegetarian version, skip the meat and add roasted vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers.
