Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon balm leaves or 2 tablespoons dried leaves
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice optional
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger optional, for metabolism boost
  • 1 teaspoon honey or stevia optional, for sweetness
  • 1 cinnamon stick optional, for extra fat-burning benefits

Instructions
 

  • Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a teapot or saucepan.
  • Remove from heat and add the lemon balm leaves.
  • Cover the pot and let the leaves steep for 5-10 minutes. The longer the steeping time, the stronger the flavor and benefits.
  • If using, add grated ginger and a cinnamon stick for enhanced weight-loss properties.
  • Strain the tea into mugs, discarding the leaves and any additional herbs.
  • Add lemon juice and honey or stevia for taste. Stir well.
  • Enjoy warm, or allow to cool and serve over ice for a refreshing iced tea.
